  • Will recommend 30-move rule for future University events

My posts have been getting munched on their way to display, so I'll keep this short as a test.

In light of the bizarre situation from the 2009 Post-Secondary event in Kingston two weeks ago, I will be strongly recommending the implementation of a 30-move rule in future CPSCA Championships.

I don't really like this idea. It takes away my chance as an awful player to force a draw by repetition against a better player :p
I mean, it just looks like one (or two?) guys in the last round decided to end the tournament a bit early, does it make sense to make everyone else atone for it?
