  • Karyakin tweet

Sergey Karyakin has tweeted that the 2016 Candidates will be held in Moscow and that Aronian will be the wild card nomination. I've been unable to confirm via a Google news search and I'm rather surprised that Kramnik would not be the wild card given the Moscow venue.

On Facebook E. Sutovsky wrote a similar message too. The sponsor is an Armenian company thus the wild card went to A.

While I don't like the idea of giving wild-card to any player, Aronian is probably the best possible choice.
