  • Reults for 2016 KW Riedstra Memorial Open and the Ontario Seniors 60+

It's been a busy day. I wanted to post the results for the entire tournament but the tables don't cut and paste properly as what was horizontal becomes vertical. So I just took the top three positions for each section. The complete tables will be on the CFC website shortly.
    So here are the results:

    Open
4 points: Bator SAMBUEV and Rohan TALUKDAR
3 1/2 points: Razvan PREOTU and Richard CHEN
2 1/2 points: Hans JUNG, Adam CORMIER, Eugene HUA, Constance WANG, Mahmud HASSAIN and Projjwal PRAMANIK

    U2000
    4 1/2 points: Adam GAISINSKY
    4 points: Mario PICCININ
3 1/2 points: Anton VAN NIEKERK and Dennis SHAMRONI

    U1600
4 points: Matthew BLAKE and John NGUYEN and Alan LI
    3 1/2 points: Joseph LIAO
3 points: Daniel YU and Emma HE

    Ontario Seniors
    4 1/2 points: Ralph DELINE
    3 1/2 points: Istvan KISS
3 points: Ian FINLAY and William KLARNER

Thanks to all the players and parents for your support and making it a fun weekend.

Wow! Rohan tied for first. Adam Gaisinsky also had an excellent result in the under 2000.

Though second place sounds like third and fourth and third place above sounds like fifth. Anyway congratulations to all the participants. I can't wait until Wednesday to see Rohan's games.

Awesome result for Rohan. He is a wonderful talent.

Great job Ralph. I look forward to seeing the rated crosstables. Not a lot of Canadian content in Moscow!

Yes Rohan Talukdar tied for first and had an excellent tournament - the only game he lost he was clearly winning against GM Sambuev. Congratulations!

Rohan's mother sent along his game... she said he was so excited being a piece up against a GM that...

I (JC) am not sure that annotations will paste straight into Chessbase.

Re: Reults for 2016 KW Riedstra Memorial Open and the Ontario Seniors 60+

I will post some games on my webpage (been inactive for nearly two years) Ralph's Attic. I have most of the games from the last two rounds in the Open section, my own games, and if anyone wants to see their game on my website, please forward to my email address at ralphdeline@gmail.com and I will post them over the next few days.

Meanwhile, I have posted the Rotan-Bator game that you play out on the board. "What a game!" that Rotan played. Future GM?

              My website: http://ralphsattic.blogspot.ca/2016/...d-ontario.html

Something has gone wrong with the viewer for the games. They have increased in size, including older posts, and I don't know why or how to fix it. If anyone knows how to correct this, please contact me. Thanks.

You are correct. The posted results are for identical scores.
