    Actually I'm guessing that he's seven as he's in the under 8 section.

      Anthony's birthdate is 2008-01-30, if I am not mistaken.

        If you found Canada's strong showing in the Baku Olympiad inspiring;
        If you found Razvan Preotu's becoming a grandmaster inspiring;
        If seeing the game Anthony Atanasov played today inspired you;
        If you would like to see more Canadian success in chess and would like to contribute in a small way,
        How about sponsoring a junior from say a Chess n Math event by paying their entry to an open tournament of your choice?
        If yes, why not call Francis who runs the Chess n Math tournaments and ask to be signed on as a sponsor at his next tournament. He's at 416 486-3395

          Anthony's mother Annabelle is the head of delegation for the Canadian team. She did a great deal of work helping the Canadian team get registered and pretty much every other aspect of getting the team organized that wasn't handled by Bob Gillanders our CFC executive director. It is great to see her son who was actually the first player to register for the team even before CYCC started doing so well. Anthony's coach during the WCCC is FIDE Senior Trainer and Grandmaster Alexander Cherniaev.
