Re: Montreal and Toronto at the PRO Chess League....

Thanks, Hugh. A few corrections. The final score in the Toronto Dragons-New Jersey Knockouts match was 13.5-2.5, a phenomenal performance considering that New Jersey fielded 2 strong GMs, an IM and an FM. Everything was clicking for us last night. Some of the games seesawed back and forth, but ended in a win for us. The Dragons' line up last night was Bator Sambuev, Gergely-Andras-Gyula Szabo, Nikolay Noritsyn and Bindi Cheng. Kudos to all four for their fascinating play.

We hope to see Razvan Preotu return from his hiatus next week.

Toronto is now leading the Atlantic division in terms of game points with 42, followed by Montreal with 39 and the Miami Champions (Hikaru Nakamura) with 38.5. In the League as a whole, Toronto is tied for 4th place with the Marseilles Migraines (MVL) after the London Towers (Gawain Jones), San Diego Surfers (Alexey Dreev) and St. Louis Arch Bishops (Wesley So). In match points, we are at 2-2.

Toronto's next match is against the London Towers on Saturday February 11 at 11:55 a.m. EST 8:55 a.m. Pacific.

Montreal will be playing against the Norway Gnomes. Will Magnus Carlsen finally join his team mates?
