Re: Canadian Open - round 3 - some games

In Yang-Lenderman, I don't see a win for white. A draw, or a win for black, but unless black commits suicide, where is the win? Was it time?

Maybe some moves are missing, where Black really lost. Going through the game, they were like -+ all the time at the end.
Or maybe a phone rang :/

Re: Canadian Open - round 3 - some games

I took the games from the live feed...I'm waiting for the scoresheet images so I can verify the movrs. Assuming they are using DGT boards, incidents like pieces being knocked over or not centred on a square can cause errors in the moves.

There was an error with the transmission that I did not notice as I was otherwise occupied (cleaning up from CYCC and setting up for the start of the 6-day open). Lenderman was indeed better the entire game but blundered mate at the end.

Hambleton-Plotkin seems like a really interesting position when the draw was agreed. Is there no way for white to try for advantage here?
