Just FYI, I will be out of the country during the AGM and regrettably will not be able to participate.

Olympiad selection will be challenging - do we take the two Closed winners (Sambuev and Noritsyn), and the two Open winners (Hambleton and Preotu), and leave one space up for grabs (Bareev, Hansen, and Kovalyov have not yet played enough games to qualify)? Of course - the 2018 Closed (if held) and Open events could change that.

Batumi, Georgia. Sept. 23 to Oct. 7, 2018.

Once the slate of candidates becomes clear you can still vote by email by forwarding your votes to Lyle.

This was a victim of an incomplete clean-up after a cut and paste from 2016. It will go away.

Open letter to the CFC Executive:

I would like to participate in the CFC's AGM this time.

Do I need to register at the CFC's online site to do this?

Please advise me by email (frzephyr@hotmail.com) on the best format for this, as soon as possible.

                  Cheers,
                  Frank Dixon

There is no provision for Canadian Open winners to make the Olympic team

To the best of my knowledge, proxy votes are not allowed for CFC on-line meetings, so this may be a little more complicated. I suppose you could receive an exemption if you didn't have Internet Access.
