Re: Time Control for a 1 Day Standard

Hello John standard means a 60 move game = 60 mins or greater
      so 55 min + 5 sec bonus at 60 moves = 5 min bonus

These games are standard or regular rated not active

      4 Rds please see poll

      Thanks Lee

Hi Lee - in Guelph we use 30+30. That way everyone writes till the end - lower maintenance. Games have never exceeded 2hours

I hate delays - especially when the clock does not show a countdown.

30+30 sounds reasonable to still get standard ratings. Maybe a little bit fast for some seniors.

I chose 50+10 on the poll.

            Hello Egidijus Zeromskis

I also hate that the DGT NA do not add or show the delay countdown
I know my DGT 2010 adds the delay back to the time
and some have a separate counter for the delay

Does anybody know why NA's don't show the countdown or add and 2010's do?
Also just wondering about the 3000's

            Thanks Lee
