  • Book Prize: The Chess Attacker's Handbook

Thanks to the generosity of Gambit Publishing -- and a multiply careless Purolator driver -- I have a copy of The Chess Attacker's Handbook, by Canada's titled teens IM Michael Song and GM Razvan Preotu which I will give away.

The book will go to the player who scores the most points in the following 3 events:

Nov. 26 - RA Chess Club Sunday Rapid
Dec. 3 - RA Chess Club Sunday Rapid
    Dec. 8-10 - RA December Open https://s3.amazonaws.com/eoca/data/2...ber%20Open.pdf

All three events will be at the RA Centre in Ottawa.
The rapid events are free to enter, and begin at 1:30 (get there earlier).
The RA December Open is a CFC 5-round Swiss, with entry fee and CFC or FQE membership required.

I have my own copy and it looks very interesting. The competition for the prize should be fierce.

Looks like an amazing read just started reading, one small improvement might be to have the solutions to the exercise at the back of the book!

Christian Collins won and has received the book prize.

We may have another book prize in January or February...
