  • Top 10 Moments for Chess in Canada 2017

2017 chess in Canada sure had its moments. You all probably have a better grip on what went down more than I do ...so I'll leave it to the community to help flesh out the top 10 moments for chess in Canada 2017.

But having said that here's a start:

    1. Society of Chess Aficionados Chess Fortune Cookies.*

    2. Anton Kovalyov's FIDE World Cup.

    3. Nikolay Noritsyn's Canadian Closed.

... perhaps a FIDE title or two???
... perhaps a fresh chess book or two???

Adding two important developments to the list:

        * Second GM norm for IM Raja Panjwani, at Charlotte, North Carolina, Nov. 2017!! :)

        * Possible new rule for chess, worldwide, suggested by NTD Frank Dixon, to deal with no repeat of GM Sambuev's behaviour at 2017 Canadian Zonal!! :)
