  • Summary - Ontario Junior CC - Jan 27-28, 2018

2018 Ontario Junior Chess Championship ( OJCC ) concluded last night after 2 grueling days of intense competitions in the 3 sections.

I would like to thank the followings for the success of this year tournament :

    1. Ontario Chess Association ( OCA ) and especially Mr Bluvshtein for his support for this junior tournament in Ontario. We will try to make this tournament an annual basis.

    2. IA Danny Goldenberg for his superb handling and running of the tournament. He worked tirelessly together with my partner Mikhail Egorov before the tournament and over the two days of tournament.

    3. All the players’ participants and the parents’ support for the tournament. Some had come from far away all the way from Ottawa ( East ) and Windsor ( South Western ). Without your participants, this tournament will be meaningless.

    4. Erindale Church management for the usage of the venue and facilities.

    5. Special mention Undriadi Benggawan and Paul Roschman and Mississauga Chess Club for the usage of the chess equipment and one of the DGT board.

    6. Elevate My Chess Canada Inc ( Ken Green and Gary Hua ) for the management and registrations of the entries
