No open section. Clarke correctly labelled the sections. Zeromskis is not enough ***** to understand that.

Today is the last day to preregister for the tournament. Registration closes at midnight. Note that if you are unsure that you will be able to play, I suggest that you register anyway. You can cancel anytime up to 8:00 p.m. Friday March 9 with a full refund. Pairings will be posted shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Friday.

Re: Tournament Announcement: Riedstra Memorial in Kitchener March 10 & 11

Registration is closed but some late registrations are still possible. Note that registrations for the 2000+ and Under 1000 sections are completely closed.

See posting #4 in this thread for the current preregistered list.

Pairings for the two FIDE rated sections, i.e. 2000+ and Under 2000, will be posted on a new thread on ChessTalk on Friday evening after 8 p.m. These pairings are final, according to FIDE rules, barring exceptional circumstances.

Pairings for the two sections that will not be FIDE rated, i.e. Under 1600 and Under 1000, will not be posted in advance. Edit: I decided to post them although the Under 1600 Section is not final and may change before Round 1 starts.

All late registrations must be made in person before 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Late registrations will be charged a $10 late fee.

Any outstanding payments including late fees and CFC memberships must be paid before the start of Round 1.

Registrations after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday will not receive Swiss pairings, but you may be paired up with someone else if available. Registrations for later rounds will be accepted anytime before pairings for the rounds are posted.
