  • Summary of 2018 Ontario Girls U19 CC and Mississauga CYCC qualifier - Feb 24-25, 2018

I would like to thank FA Vadim Tsypin and his wife Diana for the great job in running both tournaments at the same time. Everything went well without much problem. I would like to also thank OCA for their co-ordination and the church management for the usage of the venue and Mississauga Chess club for helping out and the sponsors of quite a number of players in the Girls' tournament.

Before the tournament begins, WFM Rachel Tao from Windsor and U of Waterloo gave a fantastic speech about how chess transformed her. It was a great speech and I am sure all the players appreciated it very much.

    Summary of the tournament :

    1. All rounds started on time.
