  • Who will win Canadian Closed?

I think for the win min 6.5 points might be required, thus these players have chances:

    Code:
     1 GM Mark Bluvshtein 2634 4.5
     2 FM Raja Panjwani 2472 4.5
     3 IM Jean Hebert 2442 4.5
     4 Louie Jiang 2252 4.5
     5 IM Artiom Samsonkin 2584 4.0
     6 Roman Sapozhnikov 2348 4.0
     7 FM Hans Jung 2140 4.0
     8 IM Edward Porper 2556 3.5
     9 IM Leonid Guerzhoy 2524 3.5
    10 FM Jonathan Tayar 2436 3.5
    11 IM Ron Livshits 2416 3.5
    12 Victor Kaminski 2334 3.5
    13 Alex Martchenko 2300 3.5
    14 FM Dale Haessel 2276 3.5

As the max number for the poll is 10, I'll limit to nine first names and 10. Others.

You may have multiple choices (sharing the first place), and the poll is not public (your name will not appear)

    And have fun :D

      Hi Craig:

Re: Who will win Canadian Closed?

Yesterday it was voted out that in case of tie breaks, this will be broken by playoffs, not the customary FIDE system based on opponents elo. This reaction from majority of the players hunting for titles is expected with 2 rounds to go.

Chances are, round 9 will be a long one for the day. This is very good for spectators and for promotional materials. It is quite genius for the organizers to start round 9 at 12:00 pm instead of 15:00.

We just hope we do notr emain in Guelph University till the next day.
