  • Jonathan Berry's Chess Column

It appears as if The Globe and Mail has stopped locking many of their columns. I am able to read Jon's column on-line today. Good News! :)

That's great news... even when I worked there, I had to jump through hoops to read it on Monday (and then I couldn't keep a copy nor send it elsewhere for that matter).

Which is great. Chess column in both La Presse and the Gazette are gone.

...for those who sleep in on Saturday and find that the Globe is already sold out when they finally get around to going out to buy it. At least, that's what can happen here in Nanaimo.

It's much more difficult here to prove that Lawrence Day and Deen Hergott still write their columns, because the Toronto Star and Ottawa Citizen are not available locally.

            Anyway, I'm pleased!

They seem to have locked the chess columns again. I hope that you all enjoyed it while it lasted!
