Has it struck you that Hou Yifan has played an unprecedented number of matches against male opponents?

The list (not intended to be comprehensive):

      vs David Navara 2013
      vs Parimarjan Negi 2015
      vs Ernesto Inarkiev 2016
      vs Cristobal Henriquez 2016
      vs Vladimir Kramnik 2016
      vs Nigel Short 2016
      vs Vassily Ivanchuk 2017
      __________

The second game of the match with Vassily Ivanchuk. Evidently Hou Yifan blundered in time trouble (37.Qxe5).

I remember when I first saw this post, I started to reply with something along the lines of "...who among the women players would make a worthy opponent in a match..." and then I deleted that reply. Now, she has taken the lead (albeit an early lead after 3 rounds) of the Grenke Chess Classic (see this thread: http://forum.chesstalk.com/showthrea...s-Classic-2017 ). It seems that she is showing that she belongs in this level of tournament: having beaten Caruana and Meier and today drawing with Magnus. Very impressive results so far.
