  • UMBRA Olympian Chess Tournament and Fund Raiser

    Please see the attached link about an incredible event sponsored by UMBRA, Chess Institure of Canada and of course the CFC, to raise funds for the Canadian Olympic Chess Team. The entire team living in the GTA will be participating (except Yuanling Yuan - she'll be in Germany) will be participating in a combination Lecture, Simul, Analysis Day followed by a Blitz Tournament

    Tickets will be on sale at Chess.ca website in a few days.

      Chess Lecture

      At 4pm guests have the opportunity to join the Chess Federation of Canada to compete against the Canadian Olympiad Chess team in a professional blitz tournament at a cost of $80* All proceeds will go to support the Canadian Olympiad Chess team.

      Tickets to play in the blitz tournament may be purchased online at www.chess.ca (shortly)

      Please RSVP by November 4th, 2008 to reserve your spot. Space is limited.

      *$80 tax receipt will follow. Spectators welcome.
