    Caissa, Bacchus and Chess Publishing

    August 31, 2014

The Labour Day holiday is coming up. Tuesday, the kids are back to school. Has the summer gone by that fast? One more day to relax. What to do? What to do?

Well, there is one article that appeared today in Kingpin Chess Online:

    http://www.kingpinchess.net/2014/08/...ran-petrosian/

    old, but still worth reading.

Entitled Caissa, Bacchus and Chess Publishing by Jeremy Silman it is a perceptive comment on chess and these subjects:

Pub mentality, the Rush Limbaugh right, drinking vodka in North Bay, book-reviewing, Hans Berliner’s The System, Tony Miles’ minimalism, Eric Schiller books and Under the Black Sun.

All in one review you say? Impossible!

I can assure you an entertaining read while the rest of the family is getting the clothes, books and other materials ready for the first day of school.

And if you go to HOME and then click on the photo at the top’s right arrow you will come across a picture of Vladimir Putin and Kirsan Ilyumzhinov with the caption Ventriloquism for beginners (continued).

    Very gratifying.
Working...
