    The meeting will be in Batumi Georgia in the former Soviet Union, during the Chess Olympiad:

    From the FIDE site:

    All attending delegates will receive a travel grant. FIDE wants delegates to be present at the General Assembly and reduce the number of proxies from federations.

    The Canadian delegate is the Canadian FIDE Rep, Hal Bond of Guelph Ontario. He has been a devoted contributor to organized chess (at many levels) in this country, for many decades.
