Pawn grabbing vs gm. Look! Pechenkin has not opened w/ 1f4!!, and now, having avoided dutch/bird, has a good position.:)

Richard Wang going for an IM norm at 5th Edmonton International

Even though its going to be round 7, 11 year old Richard Wang has already played 7 games due to an earlier game against GM Panchanathan. Tomorrow at 11:00, Richard will be black against GM Kraai and he has IM Porper in the evening with white. He needs to score 1.5/2 for his first ever IM norm. Its going to be incredibly difficult of course, but he has a chance. His games will be live at: http://www.albertachess.org/2010ECF/2010ECFGames.html and possibly on ICC.

The tournament leader is an amazing GM Magesh Panchanathan who has 7/7!
