    Registration fee for FIDE rated players is only CAD 27.

    It is like playing blitz in Vlad's Mom's Cafe.. Also the chance to enjoy the real rolling pot, and see the biggest outdoor golden buddha.

    Hong Kong International Open Chess Championship 2010


    Organised by the Hong Kong Chess Federation and co-organised by Faculty of Science,
    The University of Hong Kong and HKUSU Chess and Board Games Club

    Hong Kong International Open Chess Championship 2010 will be held at the University of Hong Kong from September 30 to October 3, 2010.This is a rated event registered and recognised by FIDE (World Chess Federation). Players from all areas are welcome.

    Date & Time : Sept 30 from 7:00 pm to 11:15 pm, Oct 1, 2 & 3 from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm

    Venue : Convocation Room, Main Building room 218, The University of Hong Kong, Pok Fu Lam Road, Hong Kong (location map)
    Entry fee : FIDE rated players (i.e. with FIDE ID# and rating) : HK$200.
    Unrated players (i.e. do not have FIDE ID# and rating) : HK$350.
    Registration : Registration must be made on-line and the entry form will be available from 1st August 2010
    Payment : At completion of on-line registration, please print out the entry record and send together the entry fee by a crossed cheque made payable to "Hong Kong Chess Federation" to the HKCF President, Mr. Jackson Li, at Room 303, 3/F Blissful Building, 247 Des Voeux Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. In order to accommodate the necessary facilities, entry received after September 20 will not be accepted (cut off according to postal date stamped).
    Meals : The canteen (4th Floor, Chong Yuet Ming Amenities Centre) will be open from 7.30am to 9.30pm on each playing day.
    Time Control : 120 minutes for 60 moves and 15 seconds increment for each move thereafter.
    Tie-breaks : 1. Buchholz (BH), 2. Median Buchholz (BH -1), 3. Berger (SB)
