Ottawa Autumn Open: last day announcements
Hi again, please find below the list of players already registered for this weekend's event.
As you can probably notice, we are tracking at less players than recent tournaments in Ottawa. Therefore, unless there is a large wave of new players who just show up onsite this evening, I am already beginning to realistically adjust the prize fund downward, and will hopefully have the new one finalized by the time this evening is over. Higher-rated players in Section C should perhaps consider upgrading to Section B. This is because given that the Section B players are paying around twice as much as the Section C players, it stands to reason that prizes for Section B will not be shaved as much as they will for Section C.
Note also that it looks like Section D will be collapsed into Section C, at no extra cost (the difference between these sections was only $5 anyways). The kids market has spoken! ;)
Finally, if you are planning to pay onsite, the late fee is only $10 if you email me by 5pm. Please note that the late fee without having emailed me by 5pm, would then be $20! :(
