I am pleased to announce that registrations for the first two weeks have been pretty good, and we still have a few days to go before the tournament starts this Friday.
Both CFC and FQE members are welcome, and all players will be submitted for CFC, FQE, and FIDE rating. Please refer to the EOCA Tournaments webpage for more details:

PRE-REGISTRATIONS BY MAIL
As the tournament is only a few days away, if you choose to mail your payment, please use some form of special delivery, to ensure that it arrives at my mailbox by Friday noon. Please also email me your registration, and include a cell number to be able to reach you.
LOCAL PRE-REGISTRATIONS AT THE RA CLUB
As I am working this Thursday evening, Stijn De Kerpel has very graciously offered to collect cash registrations for us. He plans to be at the RA club between the times of 630pm and 8pm, and maybe later. I should be getting there after 930pm, but paying Stijn is as good as paying me. In order to make this run more smoothly, if you are planning to go pay Stijn, please send me an email by about 3pm that day. Therefore, I can check memberships, etc. and provide Stijn with a handy list that he can just check off.
PAYMENTS/REGISTRATIONS ONSITE BEFORE ROUND 1
First, please allow me to clarify that onsite payment (where you have pre-registered by email) is $5 more. However, full onsite registration and payment (where you did not let me know that you were coming) is $20 more. So, please email me as soon as you know you are coming. These extra fees go into the prize fund, and the intent is to ensure that the round starts on time. Yes, I admit it, I am quite compelled to start rounds on time!
PAIRINGS FOR ROUND 1
They will be done at 6pm with all players who have already paid, and have either a CFC or FQE membership. Anyone paying after that will be added to the pairings as feasible. I guess there is a 50% chance that the last person to register might receive a bye for Round 1.
PAIRINGS FOR ROUND 2
They will be done around midnight (later?!) after Round 1, and posted here on ChessTalk. I mention this now in case anyone was thinking of just dropping in before Round 2 starts, and registering onsite then. Instead, please email me so that we can figure out how to get you paid up by Friday, and in that way, I can fearlessly pair you overnight for Round 2.
Please find below the list of pre-registered players as of this afternoon. The numbers after names represent FIDE# (7 digits), CFC# (6 digits), and FQE# (mostly 5 digits).
