Hi Neil

I hope you're doing okay these days.

I haven't read any of your online commentary, anywhere, for quite some time now. I thought I'd leave you this visitor's message to your chesstalk personal page (I also visited Garland Best's page here, and I haven't heard back from him as yet, for some months now).

After some time off chesstalk (partly out of concern about it possibly infecting my laptop), I'm visiting here again.

In case you weren't aware, concerning the assassination attempt on Trump (as the photo in your Media section here on your personal chesstalk page shows a part of its aftermath of), someone got hit and died, besides Trump surviving that day. In any event, I do recall that after the 11 September 2001 attacks, it didn't take long for some (in the USA , even) to act on TV stations' shows/interviews as if in a somewhat detached way from the horror of what happened that day - perhaps such de-sensitization is a sign of our times (or even that of previous Ages, in human history?). I can understand that to some extent, my being male, and having such an attitude once in a while (hopefully not too often). As for women becoming that way at least as often, nowadays, well I hope that doesn't happen, as a rule.

Take care, Kevin Pacey
