    the largest annual open weekend swiss in Canada?

    If you don't live within 10 miles of the province of Quebec, you will probably get the answer to that question wrong :)

    The Chess'n Math Association has been associated with this event for years. It draws around 300 players every year and it is held in a small town located between Montreal and Quebec City...the hotel they use for the event is always totally booked by chessplayers for that weekend! Ummm book early!

    The tournament is not CFC rated...it is FQE rated....but if you want an incredible experience (even if you don't speak French...I still promise you a great weekend!)

    The tournament is the Championnat Ouvert de La Mauricie in Trois-Rivières. The organizers usually publish an English ad but I don't see it on their site yet.

    The Chess'n Math Association will be selling books & equipment at this event.
