    Yes, a very good read.

I like the part in which Regan demonstrates how the tools he's developed allows for the possibility of catching cheaters that don't pick the top move of the chess engine (in an effort to avoid getting caught). However, there is still the possibility of a skillful cheater using an engine for a single move in a chess game (e.g., to confirm a sacrifice is sound). Perhaps making the penalty quite severe would help.

The choice is to identify suspects on a solid statistical basis or allow them to ruin the game.
I'm convinced that some critics are indifferent to the latter, or treat it with contempt, in much the same way that psychopaths treat the well-being of people other than themselves as of no importance. It would not make sense to be guided by such opinions in the Anti-Cheating Commission although all legitimate criticism should be listened to.
Dogs will bark, but the caravan of chess moves on.
