    "Temporary CFC Memberships"

At one time there was an option for people who only played an occasional rated tournament to pay $10 for that tournament rather than joining the CFC properly. I have e-mailed the CFC about this but have had no reply. Does this option or one like it still exist?

Peter, yes the option is still there, but the price has gone up.
Adults $20, Junior $10. (Price is slightly lower for active tournament in some provinces)

But, they are referred to now as "Tournament fees". Some people actually get their undergarments in a knot if you call it a membership. :)

      Hi Bob G:

I think the exact CFC Handbook term is "tournament playing fee".

Actually, the amounts you give are wrong in most provinces.

The cfc portion is $16 adult, $8 junior. Plus possibly a provincial portion.
