CMA Ottawa : November monthly

Hi chess families, the third CMA Ottawa monthly tournament of the new 2013-2014 season was held this past Sunday. We are pleased to report that we filled up 8 sections again (this time 7 RR & 1 Swiss), increasing to 52 participants. It was especially fun to welcome another 10 new players to the Chess&Math tournament fold!

We have moved to a new location this year, the Walter Baker Centre at 100 Malvern, which offers lots of free parking, a delicious cafeteria on the same floor, and a wonderfully expansive space that permits parents easy watching of their children as they play. And on a quiet Sunday, this location is surprisingly quick to drive to!

Our next Ottawa monthly is scheduled for December 15th. Pencil it in, and hope to see you there after noon!

Just a friendly reminder our next Ottawa event will be tomorrow, Sunday, December 15th. Great indoor fun! :)

quick drive on a Sunday, and LOTS of free parking!

Registration and warm-up games from 12:00 to 12:45
Tournament games from 1:00 to 4:00

Entry Fee: $18 per tournament
Medals are awarded to top three finishers in each section!
Everyone gets a chess button!! Tournaments are rated.
