  • CYCC2014 Qualifier - re-scheduled and moved: Sat Mar 1

This qualifier was originally scheduled for Sat Nov 30 2013 at Woburn CI.
We received only 38 entries - simply not enough to support the prize-fund and costs.

We have now re-scheduled to Sat Mar 1, 2014.
The new site is SATEC @ W A Porter CI - 40 Fairfax Cresc (near Warden Subway Station) - former home of the Scarborough Chess Club.
Details follow from the original posting below.
Clarification: we shall pay the OYCC entry fee for the winner of each section, and for the top girl (if she does not win overall, and if the section has 4 girls).
We shall also purchase CFC membership for all qualifiers with score >= 2 1/2 out of 5 - provided they register for CYCC by 1 June 2014, inform us, and wait for us to make the purchase.

DEADLINES: postal registration with cheque - mail postmarked by Tues Fen 18.
email registration (pay cash at site) - Fri Feb 21 - we need a week to make all arrangements and set up.

Those who pre-registered for Nov 30 are still registered unless they inform us that they wish to cancel - yes, a few have done so.

The entry form with details will be available at www.ohscc.on.ca
