Interesting how today's chess prodigies tend to gravitate to careers in business and finance, rather than science and technology.

"he got his PhD in cognitive neuroscience", and his company is (was) not pure business or finance.

I need to remember science and technology and business are of course related. I was thinking of guys like Ken Rogoff (economist and retired chess GM)

Never heard of him. By age, he is in the same generation with Kramnik, Topalov, J. Polgar, Istratescu, Svidler. His FIDE rating is listed at about 2200.
I doubt the claims made in the article.
