  • 2014 Kingston Open Registration reaches "Critical Mass"

I just want let everyone know that we have received sufficient interest in order for the event to go forward.

The following players have expressed a desire to play in the event:
1808 Serge Archambault, CFC 123360, bye round 1
    1815 Curtis Barlow-Wilkes, CFC 154444
2049 Danail Donev, CFC 143574, bye round 1
    1964 John Dykes, CFC 156675
    2086 David Kistler, USCF 10153247
    1348 John Lukezich, CFC 146765
    UNR Lorenz Paulsen, 613-544-3027
    1917 Peter Sibbald, CFC 102717
    1875 Jacob Krolczyk, CFC 120862
1673 Ben Kellar, CFC 148170, bye round 1
    2053 Halldor Palsson, CFC 106856
    1430 Jeffrey Smith, CFC 108108
1779 Eric Van Dusen, CFC 112806
2212 Qiyu Zhou, CFC 151707 (tentative)

The venue is warm, quiet and naturally lit during the daytime hours, so I encourage additional participation.

    Hi Dan:

If you can provide me with a flyer-like set of details, I can add it to the Tournament Notices section of the Toronto Chess News (TCN), the next Issue being Feb. 1 (my own publication, through my chess services company, Canadian Chess Consulting Service; e-mail me: canadianchessconsultingservice@gmail.com) .

Also, as CFC Public Relations Coordinator, I'll put it on the CFC Facebook Page, and on the CFC News Forum.

    Bob
