  • IM Nikolay Noritsyn simul at AuCC (ON)

    International Master Nikolay Noritsyn (winner of the first Aurora Open) will join us for a simultaneous display at the Aurora Chess Club.

    Where: Aurora High School Cafeteria.

    When: Monday 24th February. Participants are requested to be on-site no later than 6:15pm ready for a 6:30pm start!

    Board Fee: Free for AuCC Members, $10 non-members!

    First come first serve (30 boards)! No more boards after the event has started, unless IM Noritsyn agrees!

      ~30 players came and fought against IM Nikolay Noritsyn.




      The master was strong. Here he made a deadly move. An opponent resigned immediately.

      Nevertheless some players managed to upset him:
      Bernie Prost drew a game with opposite bishops.
      Zaidun Alganabi won a game. (PGN should be published in Toronto Newsletters with an extended report)

      The next Aurora CC event - next Monday - blitz. May try something different than the 15-RR.
