  • Best Correspondance Chess Website?

Lately I have been looking at getting into correspondance chess and was just wondering which site, in your opinion is the best one around. Probaly one of the only correspondance chess websites I know of would be Gameknot, which I am not to crazy about.

I also got a chance to briefly look over the ICCF webiste. How easy is it to join the ICCF and can anyone join? I am also guessing that their rated games are played through their webchess (which is similar to the layout of other correspondance chess webistes?) option as opposed to playing by e-mail.

And lastly, does correspondance chess improve your game in tournament play?

Any suggestions would be very helpfull, thanks.

Joining ICCF is very easy. You need to go to the server website here:
    http://www.iccf-webchess.com/

Choose "New events" and then "Free unrated 2-game matches". You get to start them as soon as another player is available for the same choice and then you could learn how the server works without any pressure (financial or from a rating point of view).

Drop me a personal email if you need more information!
