  • Magnus promoting chess in Brazil

http://en.chessbase.com/post/caxias-...form-in-brazil Its nice to see Magnus promoting chess in Brazil. Check out GM Leitao - Magnus. Gorgeous play by Magnus with the final position of quuen and two knights dominating after white tried angling his pieces towards the black king and got hurt. ....Rxc3 is a nice touch. (very deep too!)

The strongest chessplayer in the world and the tallest chessplayer in the world (Peter Heine Nielsen) in Brazil. Imagine having a bodyguard (he sure looks like one) that is 2650 strength and with whom you can discuss endless variations blindfolded! ( I mean real positional moves not computer generated)

Any chance of Magnus coming to Canada to promote chess? I'm sure the weather here would agree with him :)

According to various Internet sources, Peter Heine Nielsen is 6'5", while Kramnik is 6'6". The late GM Miroslav Filip was 6'9", and the late GM Jan Hein Donner was allegedly 6'10".
Canada's FM Irwin Lipnowski is about 6'8".
