  • Strategy Games, Toronto - Pre-owned Chess Books Catalogue

Strategy Games has a large collection of pre-owned chess books for sale,
at all our 3 Stores in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. They are generally in
excellent condition, and include quite a few rare editions and collectibles.

An instructor spotted a rare Fischer tome for $11.95, apparently on sale
online at ten times the price. Another snatched all the 3 massive Polgar
didactic volumes in original hard-cover (including the Middle-game and
Endgame series) for under $60, minutes after being priced, on arrival!

Below is the link to our Toronto catalogue of pre-owned books. Feel free
to send me an email if you need further info on particular volume/s. We
ship worldwide (call for rates), free shipping in Canada for orders over $40.

Do you also BUY used chess books? I have a number of old volumes I am trying to unload - mainly older opening books and a bunch of Informants from the 1967 - 1990's.

      Hi Ken,

Yes, we do purchase used books within reason, do send us a list.
Opening books are a limited market, particularly if in descriptive.

Anyway, a list of prospective titles would be useful.

      Thanks,
      Francis

        For starters,
Informants 1 - 53, first 20 or so slightly worn (bought them from another guy years ago), remainder in very good condition (never looked at them as often as I thought I would :( ).
"Opening Ideas and Analysis for Advanced Players", A. Soltis, 1991 - lots of text/explanation (not just variations), so maybe still useful.

          Hi Francis,
I would like to buy some books on Capablanca, Alekhine and Botvinnik. That is if it is still available.
