    Re: Larsen's interview 1974

With the large number of GM's in the world, and the ability to play/study with them in person (or on the Internet), having one give a simul is no big deal these days. The last well-attended simul I have seen in Montreal was by Korchnoi a few years ago (2002?).

An Interview with Bent Larsen, 1968

      http://www.chessmastery.co.uk/interv...t-larsen-1968/

There is an earlier interview with Bent that is quite interesting.

The match with Spassky (1968), Fischer, the Candidates, a travelling chess library (?), Mrs. Larsen and seconds are all touched on.

(The Spassky match took place in Malmö in July. Bent Larsen beat Lajos Portisch (5½-4½) in a quarter-final match at Porec, Croatia in May.

Boris Spassky qualified through the Spassky-Geller Candidates Quarterfinal Match (1968) earlier on that year and went on to the Spassky - Korchnoi Candidates Final (1968) after beating Larsen 6.5-1.5 in eight games.)
