Well then congratulations Michael for being part of this select group!

One of the reasons that I wanted to co-organize and be part of the BC Senior Chess Championship is that it gives us a way to celebrate and honour this very special group with their very own tournament. When our kids were just getting into serious chess, they started to play older people and seniors. And win, lose, or draw, these seniors would always be very gracious to our kids. They encouraged, shared ideas, and showed great sportsmanship. Seniors, whether they know it or not, help to build our chess community by example and their presence.

I'm looking forward to the BC Senior Chess Championship on June 20-22, 2014. Will you be there?

Please come out and join your friends and colleagues for yet another year of great fun and camaraderie!

It's a long hike from Budapest. I'm going to do my best to get myself out of this category though. I thought senior was 65 ....

Perhaps, it's time to make a visit back home....

We are following FIDE's World Seniors, which has changed "senior" to 50 and better:
