Please note: this is the ONLY official school chess championship. Although designated "high school", players from all grades from 1 through 12 are welcome. There are 3 sections: Championship, Intermediate (rated CFC under 1500), and Beginner (rated CFC under 1100 AND with less than 2 years' tourament experience). ONLY CFC regular ratings will be used in the tournament; CMA ratings will be checked to confirm rating level and experience.
The tournament is an individual Swiss. In addition to individual prizes - over all, by school grade, and top girl - there are team prizes in each section. A team consists of the top 3 players from a school - schools with more than 3 players have a slight advantage. There are also COmbined Team prizes: a combined team consists of the top player from a school in all three sections.

The on line registration form is designed for teachers, or parent-representatives.
    First entered is school information.
Then the number of players in each section, and number of players and adults needing accommodation - if any.
(Accommodation is at Trinity College, U of T.)
Then the detailed info for each player.
Payment for entry fees and accommodation can be made on line via PayPal, or you may send a cheque.
