There is cheap and there is frugal. I am from Scottish descent, so I know the difference... :)

So, a Scotsman phones the local newspaper after his wife has died and says
" Good day, I would like to place a notice in the obituary page."
The clerk on the line says, "Fine go ahead sir."
      Says the Scotsman, "O'Reilly died."
"Yes, go ahead" says the clerk.
"That's it, how much will that be?" says the Scot.
"We have a price for a five word minimum notice", says the clerk.
After a few moments, the Scotsman says,
      "O'Reilly died, Volvo for sale."

If you are coming from the west side of the province the Motel 6 near Winston Churchill Blvd. at kilometer 333 on the Highway 401 is a decent bet though it does mean you have to contend with traffic in the morning. The prices are up to $60 per night the last time I drove by. Modern hotel with comfortable beds. The last time I was in Mississauga someone else made the arrangements and I wound up staying on a pullout bed at a different hotel that was simply unsuitable for anything but a dog or cat to sleep on. The cost was double the motel 6 which had nice comfortable beds. I wasn't paying but I wasn't sleeping either.

                      That deserves a sticky thread!

                            Nigel,

Please unsticky this thread as people tend to skip over the stickies.
                            Thanks

                                Hi Nigel,
I need maximum activity on the Rapid & Fundraiser thread in order to promote the event properly. Placing it with the stickies is not good because people tend to skip those as they are usually old news. So could you please unstick it?
                                Thanks,
                                Vlad D
