Hi Chess Players,
For those who are not playing at the Kitchener's team tournament, here is another chess tournament at Buffalo, NY.
6 Canadians participated in the last weekend Buffalo International 2014 and two of them won first prize.
Chess is growing in Western NY and there are a couple of NMs playing there. if you are thinking of sharpening up your skills and have a go at them, do join this tournament. It is a monthly tournament and a one day tournament. it is about one and a half hour drive from Mississauga.

CELEBRATING 15 YEARS OF EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT YOUTH CHESS PROGRAMS!
$670.00 CASH PRIZES/36 players!
Each Participant must bring: Chess set, Chess board and digital chess clock.
The tournament will consist of Four - USCF dual rated games, Game 50, with a 5 second delay.
SCHOLASTIC SECTION K- 9th grade will play four games, Unrated, Game 30, with a 5 second delay.
Note: U.S Chess membership is required for OPEN and U1600 Sections!
Players must report by 9:00 a.m. Unpaid late entries must take a one half-point bye.

Payment must be received by midnight on Thursday, June 19, 2014. SORRY NO REFUNDS!
Rounds on Saturday begin at 9:15 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
SCHOLASTICS (Unrated) must report by 9:30am, Games start at 10am, 11am, Noon and 1pm.
