    GM Nakamura and GM Bluvshtein will be in Victoria for the CYCC this summer. Hikaru Nakamura will be arriving July 20 for 2 days. Mark Bluvshtein will be arriving July 20 or 21 and will be staying until July 24.

    There will be lectures, simuls and other special events involving the GMs. See you in Victoria!

    Some events will be limited entry and available to registered/paid players in the CYCC on a first come first served basis. You should register now for the CYCC. Online registration and mail in payment available.

    The Hotel Grand Pacific is recommended by the organizing committee. It is ideally situated in downtown Victoria. The Hotel Grand Pacific is close to numerous restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and shops. A car is unnecessary if you stay in this location. We will provide complimentary airport pickup and drop off for players and their families who are pre paid and registered prior to May 15th, 2009.     There are other hotels and motels in the area if you prefer. It is also possible to camp at Goldstream Provincial Park campground less than a 30 minute drive from downtown Victoria.

    A Simul with Hikaru Nakamura is planned for July 20th at 3:30 pm. The Simul will take place in Confederation Park (600 Block Menzies St) adjacent to the Hotel Grand Pacific.

    This event is sponsored by the City of Victoria, entry is free! and registration will be open to CYCC registered and fully paid players first. Registered players will be contacted in May with information on how to sign up for the simul.

    Registration and payment for the CYCC and Canadian Junior can be made by mail or online.
