An encouraging turnout after last week's dismal 5 player showing! Also the gathering is showing signs of resembling old style chess clubs. After the tournament, some six or so players stayed for skittles games with others who show up regularly for a weekly fix of fun chess for which the equipment is provided and there is no fee ( from about 4 pm til whenever). So put aside your internet chess next Saturday and come out for real face to face chess like grandpa used to play.:)
The tournament starts at 1:45 at the Seanachai Irish pub, 1106 Danforth Av ( 2 blocks east of the Donlands subway station) If you might arrive late call me at (647) 907-3442
