  • #ChessCanada Hashtag

I would like to propose we all use #ChessCanada on twitter, facebook and google+ for our discussions relating to Canadian chess topics.

All agreed? Is there a # that the community is already using?

Just think. Now we can take our flame wars WORLD WIDE :)

Chess Canada is the name of the CFC Newsletter.

Do you already use the hash tag for the Newsletter?

Just pointing out that it might be confusing to use a name that already has an established use.

FWIW, I don't use Twitter at all, as I can't say anything in U140 characters

lol - good point. The Twitter hashtags appear to be completely made up (at least they can simply be stuff like: #damnIhateTheFrenchDefence so I cannot see any reason not to use #ChessCanada or #ChessFederationOfCanada for that matter... Wonder if #CFC is already in use. For that matter, even collision of names is not particularly interesting from Twitter's point of view: I don't think name collision is even considered since there is no central 'definition' of hashtags. Usage wins!

From the white side you should love the French Defence.

The idea isn't to hate the French Defence. The idea to make the person who plays that defence, more accurately the Winawer, against you hate it.
