Vlad, Bob, what is the situation with respect to the CFC discussion board? It has been down for weeks now. What is the problem?

Chris had some issues with internet connectivity. Unless there are unanticipated problems the forums should be back up by the weekend or shortly thereafter.

I assume you mean Chris Mallon. I know that he was instrumental to getting both the Chesstalk and CFC discussion boards established, but do we have a back-up person to deal with the board issues?

At the moment we do not have a backup person.

Lyle can do most things that need doing. This is just a bit extreme.

I suppose that I am also a backup person once the board is up and running as I do have administrator privileges but I don't think we have a back up person for putting the forums back online. I could probably figure out how to do it if I really needed to though that wouldn't be a good idea at this point in time as there are already a few balls up in the air that I am juggling.

Bob is going to hate this suggestion, but I was thinking more along the lines of the executive director, and not the president.

I seem to recall things from the private message board were ending up right here on Chess Talk.

With that in mind, it strikes me that just because I don't know the message board address doesn't mean they don't have one.
