  • Chess Studies

I like to do the studies in the Archive section of the ChessCafe site. Sometimes the studies end in positions that only a tablebase could say for certain are winning or not.

    An example:

Took me about 15 minutes to solve this one, but I wasn't sure if the solution I found was actually winning. My solution matched the intended solution however according to the tablebase it's not winning.

This one (from a certain contributor to this board) ends in a position I was also not certain was winning. It also took me about 15 minutes to solve. Turns out it is winning according to the tablebase.
