      What mystery? Here is an excerpt from the first Fischer-Spassky press conference at Sveti Stefan 1992:

      Ivan Solotaroff, Esquire Magazine: Why did you take on h2 in the game against Spassky in 1972? Were you trying to create winning chances by complicating a drawn position?
      Bobby Fischer: Basically, that's right. Yes.
