    Bobby Fischer had charisma. Best known chess player in the world. It takes two people to make a match so Boris Spassky also has to be given credit for the popularity chess attained.

    Unfortunately, charisma is not something which can be taught.

      I'm not sure I would agree with that. Certainly a lot of people claim it can be taught.
