Congratulations to the organizers - Brian Fiedler and TD Brian Lamb. That's been a great success in organizing such a huge chess event in GTA area for a couple of last years. Bravo!
P.S.We are still awaiting a final list of players with pairings for first round.
    :)

By the way, could we all please try to be on our best behaviour? None of the things that cost us the Primrose as a location and maybe we'll get to do it again next year at the same location. I remember one Thanksgiving tournament at the Hilton in 1992 or so and we didn't get invited back there since either. Let's take the opportunity to showcase chess a bit in a public place like this and maybe do some PR. A wild & crazy suggestion I know but there you are, do it or don't but do expect some consequences or results either way.

First and foremost should be credited to Brian Fiedler for getting private sponsorships from the following institutions:

        PricewaterhouseCoopers:

        http://www.pwc.com/

        Don Valley North Lexus/Toyota:

        http://www.dvnlt.com/

        Greater Toronto Chess League:

        http://www.torontochess.org/drupal/

Without them, there will be no way this event will ever be successful!!!

Hope to see more sponsorships from them again in the future...

Cheers to the Two Brians and Special Thanks to Bob Armstrong!

Thaks to the amazing work, vision and risk of his money, Brian Fiedler and there's actually more sponsors like Chess'n Math, Royal Bank, CN Tower ...

Full Open Section Results on MonRoi

From another thread, Egis Zeromskis notes the full Open section cross table is on the MonRoi site:

                http://monroi.com/pwc-toronto-open-c...p-results.html

On the screen that comes up, click on " Home Page " and you'll find your way to the tournament and " Results ".

I hope so But don't make it after Easter. Try Easter Weekend Like the Old Toronto Opens passed by with 6 Rounds. That would have made a nice finisher with a 6 Round This year. It would have been interesting if the two GM's would have fought it out.:)

                            Hi Precy:

I have been waiting for it to be published for the Scarborough CC newsletter coming out Thursday night, where I'm reporting on the tournament. So far it is not on the " Lamb " official website ( it shows it was last updated April 21, when it said the list would be out later that day, which obviously didn't happen ).

                            Bob
