    Spain is certainly well primed to add chess to their school curriculum. I suspect it's not likely to be a compulsory subject as it now is in Armenia but more likely an 'available' subject as it is in a good number of other European countries of late (e.g. Bulgaria, Hungary).

    Chess classes would have been fun. As it is, back in the day, I started a really popular chess club at school in grade 6. We were living in a small town outside of Sudbury and you wouldn't believe all the kids who wanted to learn and play chess during recess in the middle of winter. Sadly, the club's popularity waned as the temperature outside got back above zero. :-)
