GTCL Event: The Toronto Closed is sanctioned by the Greater Toronto Chess League, which also pays rating fees and provides the trophy.
Championship: 8-player Round Robin comprised of the highest rated Greater Toronto Area players who apply – but the defending Toronto Champion and the 2014 Reserve winner qualify automatically in the Championship section.
Reserve: 8-player Round Robin comprised of eight additional players – and the winner qualifies for next year’s Championship
Schedule: Rounds start at 7:30 pm each Monday, March 30 to June 1, but no round April 6 (Easter Monday) or May 18 (Victoria Day). May 25 will be a make-up week.
Time Control: Game in 90 minutes, plus 30 seconds per move from move 1
FIDE-rated: Championship section rated by Chess Federation of Canada (CFC) and the World Chess Federation (FIDE). Reserve section rated by CFC.
Arbiters: Tyler Longo (Chief Arbiter) and Alex Ferreira (Deputy Arbiter)
Registration: $90 (pay by cash or cheque at ACC). Up-to-date CFC membership is required. $10 discount for ACC members
Deadline: Entries must be received by Monday March 23. Contact: info@annexchessclub.com

2nd – $200
